The typical dieter has probably tried many different weight loss products and diet/fitness programs to meet their needs, but most of us are likely to have failed to see any results. You can blame the companies in the weight loss industry for that: There are literally hundreds — perhaps even thousands — of products on the market, yet most of these are not likely to be remotely effective.
Dr Mercola has a diet plan that claims to help us lose weight and keep it off. The plan does not really seem to be based on any scientific grounds, but some readers might like the fact that most of the ideas seem to be based on conventional wisdom. On the flip side, there might not be anything new or groundbreaking here. You do get about 150 recipes, which is nice, but the author could address the real causes of weight loss — out-of-control cravings and a slow metabolism — more directly.

I think the weight loss products industry should be ashamed of itself for adhering to such low standards in terms of making false claims about their supplements, creams, programs and other products. You see all kinds of products out there that use words such as “block fat” and “zap the fat overnight,” etc., but how many of these will actually come through when put to the test?
You’d be surprised at how few of these products will come through with even the most remote benefits. A product called CiniaLB is advertised as capable of blocking the absorption of fat and sugar, which might lead most of us to think we could eat anything we want and still lose weight. The reality is that nothing comes easy, so you should throw out these foolish ideas. This product’s formula contains Green Tea and Garcinia Cambogia, neither of which is reason to get excited.
